I have a new gun and I hate cleaning hairspray so i want to use propane My dad won't trust me with a metered system cuz then the tank is with the gun so i have to do manual injection (welding torch in chamber) so how long would i need to hold the thing in there (in seconds)if my chamber is 3''X13.5'' and the barrel is 1.5''X36'' help would be much appreciated

What he's trying to say is his dad doesn't want the propane tank to be attached to the gun incase his explodes which is reasonable.

absolutly Mr steve yup after a couple tries i found 6/7 seconds works perfect Way more powerful (and cleaner) than dumb old hairspray
PS i used a camppping type gas thingy and a valve from this little gas grill so if you used a real torch it may be different

I point out that you could build an off-boardp (detached) propane meter... many people have done so, as it can provide services to multiple launchers (thus saving money).
