My second pneumatic turned out better than I expected ,It's really too powerful for shooting potatoes ,they just curve all over the place. I shot a piece of candle in it today that fit the barrel size 1'" with a small bolt hreaded in it , it went through a half inch of plywood. I used a cheap blowgun valve I already had and it doesn't leak. To keep the barrel spread at the end ,I fashioned a piece of 2" pvc to fit both pipes using a bench grinder then I wrapped it with duct tape.

I spent less than ten bucks on this gun since I had most of the parts lying around my shop.I like it so I purchased a
sprinkler valve for the next one.

This is my second venture into pneumatic
cannons. My first one was also a success but very simple to see if I would like them as well as combustion cannons .I have only been at this hobby a couple of months.

FYI, if i were you i'd stop using the 1st one all together unless that chamber is SCH 80 PVC, it looks like CONDUIT to me which is electrical pipe.

very nice 2nd cannon, and dont listen to salad, duck tape RULES!

My first cannon does have some of the grey pipe but I have had no problem so far . The last foot of the barrel is removable and has the potato cutti ng bevel on the pipe. My second c annon is light yea rs ahead of the first one thanks to the internet . the picture I sent wasn't very good , in fact . the worst one I had. The second cannon will actually hit targets I have set up for my pelllet guns ( gamo and a tech force 99 Chines e thing and a couple of Crossman semi automatics) The second cannon will send nuts and bolts guide by two inch pieces of 1" dowell through a half inch plywood . If you would like to see p ictures of this I can get them as well a s bette r pics of the guns. I'm probably older than most in t his hobby and have a lot more epuipment . But I'm new at it . c ar ry on your doing well.

Since I posted this article a few months ago ,I have put a sprinkler valve on the first little cannon shown, with blowgun actuation , I have made a marble trap for it that allows me to aim down with it and not have the marble fall out.
My nephew Jake was here the other day and we shot over 300 marbles with it and a new one I made with a spring pulled valve , and trigger latch. The sprinkler valve outperforms the other one ,but the spring gun has a homemade wooden stock and actually is more accurat e to shoot.
In the same day ,we shot near 10 lbs of spuds and 15 or so tennis balls.
I also painted the Ist cannon blue .so far it has probably fired 1500 marbles and it still works great.
