This is a rebuild of my old gun which was very....Well touchy hit and miss with firing well.
Its sports a barrel sealing piston valve in a 50mm T and with 40mm porting the piston is made from melted hot glue sticks poured into a piece of 50mm pipe for the correct size and shape. There are two linear groves cut into the piston to allow filling of the chamber.
This has only been fired at 60psi as its very loud as is and in the urban area in which i live i might have a SWAT team or something onto me.I am however going to a mates place next week were there can be as much shooting as i can do.Thats were the damage pics will come from.
Well here's Mr Wilson,Enjoy!

Nice, I take it hot glue works good for pistons. Why did I not think of that?
That, my friend, is a good looking gun. One question though, did you name it after the guy on Home Improvement? Can’t wait to see what it’ll do. Say have you ever shot a unopened Coca-can! Shake it up good and shoot it if you got enough power (which I’d be surprised if you don’t) it should explode!

Actualy i dont no were the name Mr.Wilson came from but why not say it came from that show. The piston works well, and if it stuffs up i'll just remold it I have got a nice big ball bearing which i am going to shoot at some bricks to get some damage And yes i ahve shot soda cans before they explode even when not shaken up and even empty ones that have just been filled with water rip in two pieces.
experament_u2-
Cant wait to see it.I'm a sucker for the over under combustion they seem really cool.
djt-
I didn't think of that, but i try and not leaves my guns in sunlight anyways as it weakens the PVC polymer.
Thanks for the quick replies mates!

You DOnt need that Spring un less urs is special it should seal agains the barrel with the pilet air pressure and without the spring it will release faster which will make it go further

Ohhh. I like it. Im starting to really like piston valves. This is a good mid sized gun and looks like fun to shoot. The piston however looks a little heavy and this may hinder the performance of it. Maybe if you hollowed out a part of it and made it a little lighter you could get better acuation.
SOO CUTE!! OMG!! I COULD JUST LICK YOU!!Insomniac wrote:Hey why am I a goose???? Why not somthing a little more awe inspireing, like an eagle or something? LOL

I have the spring to act as a sort over bumper to reduced the force of the pisotn moving backwards.I'm happy with the way it fires now but i might remake another piston thats lighter.
And pneumatics can be equaly as loud as a combustion,as the air escapes rapidly and expands causing a shock wave and thus sound.

Well i havent been able to range fire it yet but i did fire a small lime at 50psi and it went out of sight.I'm doing all my testing with this gun on the up coming weekend before my big exams,i find that spuds flying increase my brain activity.

That guns awesome! Have you thought about putting an elbow on the ball valve so that it acts like a handle?
