Advanced Mini Combustion Rifle-6mm
I have always loved putting everything I would need on to one of my cannons. Fuels meter, igniton source, scope, etc, but the only type of cannon Ive never been able to do this with and have it work (never really tried until now) was a mini. Now Ive built them before, the first one I made I tried to add a fuel meter but during testing the cannon caught fire (don't ask) and the plastic butane tank exploded. The second one I made I never got around to adding anything but a piezo sparker, it was simple and effective, until my friend put flash powder in it, shook it, and pulled the trigger. Besides blowing up in his hand, it shot the bb so fast it shattered the window on his dads truck. This cannon was my fourth mini and i decided it was time to add some accesories to it.
For starters I was tired of letting the mini air out after being fired or blowing into the chamber to get rid of the carbon monoxide, so I wanted to add a chamber fan. I also was tired of having to guess at the amount of propane I was putting in so I wanted to add a fuel meter. I started with a long nose lighter and pulled off the back cover and flipped it and glued it at an angle to make the grip. This also alowed me to leave the trigger and piezo Ignitor in place so I could hold it like a real firearm. I then glued a pill bottle on (after making a few cuts with a dremel to the grip), and glued on a pen tube. After that I drilled a hole in the cap and glued in a 1/2 inch drip irirgation valve and then glued the exhaust fan to the other end of the valve. After that I glued a 9V battery pack (for fan), whcih I had made out of balsa wood, to the barrel so it would look like a magizine. Because i glued the piece from the lighter which held the butane tank upside down, I was able to put the tank in the grip.
The fuel meter was probably the simplest part fo the entire cannon. Because the lighter had an adjustable flame, all i had to do was adjust the amount of butane that was put out until I would get a sure fire every time. I connected the outlet from the tank to the combustion chamber with the thin piece of tubeing that carried the butane to the tip of the lighter. to dispense the butane, all I have to do is press the blue paddle once, and it will open the vlave long enough for the correct amount of butane to enter the combustion chamber.
I also added a simple peep sight, and after a few tweaks to the sight, I now have the cannon dead on at 15 feet. This cannon is powerful enough to shoot a plastic 6mm bb through a paper plate from up to 20 feet away, a metel 6mm bb through a plate from 25 feet aay, or a metel 6mm bb through cardboard from 10 feet away.

The Butane Tank. All I have to do is press the blue thing and it will release the correct amount of butane into my combustion chamber.
How the butane tank fits into the grip
The switch for the fan. I positioned next it to the trigger gaurd so I can easly flip it on and off with my trigger finger.
