Question, what size porting is that and what part(not piece of rubber) is that seating on? I'm not certain, but It looks to me like a piece of pipe sanded down to a point. Just correct me if I'm wrong.

Wait, now I'm even more confused because I just notice what I thought was a piece of pipe is coming from the threaded side and not the bushing side. Now you really have to explain 'cause I'm lost.

Third edit here. What kind of rubber did you use for the sealing face?

Rubber from Mcmaster

it is a Pipe on a bushing then a treded adapter
i had to cut them and slpit the the room in the T to weld them there!

I like it, that way you can have interchangeable barrels, get to the piston, and it's all done rather cleanly. I'd put O-rings on your piston since you're so close to Gort and his lathe.

Nice looking piston valve dan! Is it a chamber sealer or barrel sealer?

You can tell it's a barrel sealer 'cause it has no o-rings. Anyway, just so you guys don't do this, DO NOT use rubber from neoprene waders. I peeled off the fabric from the outside and used the rubber from the inside. It was much too weak and held a seal for about 5 minutes before it blew.......to pieces!!!!!

Squeaks, barrel sealers can use o rings, they just need an equalisation hole. Gorts mauler valves use o rings and they're barrel sealers.
