ok so i know my gun fires so here is my question

i have a detachable barrel. the male adapter is 8" from the combustion chamber. if i load a projectile behind the adapter, it gets hung up, if i put it in fron of it, most of the pressure escapes via the adapter and the projectile barely moves.

i have a 60.5"x2" barrel

any help or advice welcomed

If you sand down the threads on the male adapter it will screw into the female adapter better, then glue a o-ring on the end of the male adapter so it seals inside the female adapter. That should fix the problem.

Heres a poorly drawn pic.
