Acouple of instructables on building air sources

Well I just got around to finishing two short instructables one is a homemade air compressor, and the other is a co2 OBA(on board air) system I made for some offroading. I know that the instructions are short and leave alot of gaps, but both are more like guide lines than anything else. I'll be editing them with more information as time goes on. So what you think?

Well, honestly, it's a good thought, but impratical. The C02 would run out very fast working with air tools, and the aircompressure is just reconfigured with a old propane tank for air storage. Good try though. It shows your thinking.

The air compressor is a great idea but why not just find a high flow electric air pump from an air compressor at the same junk yard, replace the seals, and reuse that. Or if you really want to make one use an compressor from an old fridge and attach that to your propane tank.

Not to down you but it isn't really instructions but more of a few pictures and parts labels.

Those old refridgarator compressores wont pump enough air to get what anybody needs for filling air storage chambers. They compress liquid well but not air.

what if you hooked a bike pump to a spinning wheel to make it do that "pumping" action. its like a backwards crank. would that work as a compressor? becuase i could defiently do that, and then i could reach 200PSI......!!!!!

I disagree as the one I made runs on a fridge compressor and fills an eighty gallon tank in about ten minutes. Maybe not as fast as a big one but eighty gallons in ten minutes is fine for me.
