yes
i've got this problem too...the problem with pistons, is that you need'em light and hard. But, unless you get them out of aluminium and thick neoprene, they will loose they're sealing surface. epoxy works great as a glue, and you can also think about burning the neoprene on the side glued to the piston body, and when it starts bubbling, you put it back on. wear gloves and a breathing mask.my piston rifle is broken because of that problem...

Is the rubber getting ripped off the piston?

It could be the metal sealing port is digging into the rubber enough to tug on the edges as the centre (where it's being held by the bolt) is yanked backwards.

i doubt this is the problem, i have "experimented in the shed lately and foun it was due to the shape and size of the nut a washers i used its all good now i think. although i have only shot it once at 240psi after changing the nut and washer, it work and i was able to shoot it again.

Alrighty... i found that the cause of the problem was due to the rubber being "to thick". im now using 3mm laced insertion rubber that i got for around $20 a sheet. hope this helps anyone with these problems.

anyways i now have "interchangeable" barrels. its basically a 8mm id aluminum arrow bolt with 2 pieces of hose on each end then held in by 3 modified bolts(cut down to length).

also removed gauge due to it was broken from the extreme pressures

Evidence: Rifle design, all metal, huge psi rating, comfy butt, scope.
Verdict: Sweetest gun ever.
Congrats, I think my pneumatic just went into hiding...
