My first pneumatic - updated with damage pics
Well, I've never built a pneumatic before but thought I'd give it a go. I've almost finished this one, just need to drill and tap a hole in the plug to fit a schrader valve for filling and attach the rubber to the front of the piston. The piston is made from a 25mm end cap with a 32mm internal sleeve cut and glued to fit a little better. The rest of it should be pretty self explanitory. I look forward to your feedback.

Thats a really clean and nice coaxial. That thing isn't going to have any problem shooting through things. I couldnt tell weather or not the piston had rubber on it. if it doesnt it wont seal very well, Im probably wrong, but just thought id point it out. You did a really good job on this.
not bad at all for a first try.
good stuff.
if it go no rubber it wont seal @ all
chaos

That is THE cleanest co-axial I have ever seen! Nice job!
tater36, these photos are a little old, the cannon was completed and the fill valve(not visible in these photos) is now in the brass end cap seen on the left in the disection pic.
I would post damage pics but unfortunately the PVC end cap didn't like being a piston and shattered on aproximately the 5th shot so I'm looking for some aluminium to form an new stronger piston.
Mitchza89, a sprinkler valve would be great except that they are hard to find down here in NZ and getting one ordered from the US/UK/Where-ever would be prohibatively expensive.
Thanks for the complements guys I'll let you know when the new piston is made and post some damage pics. Could be a week or more though.

The piston was made from a 25mm end cap surrounded with a piece of 32mm internal sleave. The sealing face was made of a piece of bike tire inner tube, but like I said, it failed when the end cap smashed so I need to make a slightly more durable piston.
Well I created a new piston out of some high density foam, some washers and an 80mm M6 bolt. The results are impressive, to me at least. I posted some damage pics which can be seen at the top of the page, sorry couldn't figure out how to set the order the pics show up in. Ammo is 16mm glass marbles and shots are all at 100psi.
