Well you could mod the front handbrake by getting a throttle cable (basically the same as a brake cable) and just attaching the wire of the brake cable onto the front brake handle. If you look at the front brake you will see a spot where wire is attached to it. When you pull the handle it pulls the wire and it tightens the cable which squeezes the brake which is the same for the throttle except it gives it gas.

well if you don't mind me asking How old are you? I wanted to make a motor bike or get a go kart but I'm 15 so I will be able to drive in a year so its not really worth it to spend the money.

Come on stick with it. Once you have a plan and know what you are doing it will be easy. Plus it will give you something to do for a month with a motor bike at the end.

Yeah, do you plan to ever steer this bike? cause if your gonna do it on the front wheel then you wont be able to steer. Sounds like a cool idea though.

I got a 33cc chainsaw and am putting it on my flowboard (42 inch skateboard with 14 wheels) I'm having trouble figureing out a way to attach a bike sprocket to the clutch gear thing... and one know how I could do this, or where to buy one?

I bought a Stihl chainsaw (farm boss 290) when I was 15. One of the first things I did was mount it on the back of the bike, I was about to tension the drive chain when my parents came out to see what I was doing. They stopped me from completing it mainly because it was a brand new $400 saw. It would have driven one of the upper gears on the bike (one I barely used) and I could still ride it like a standard bike, to go I could controll the throttle just behind the seat.
What I would do is get a drive roller, the motor turns the roller which is on and driving the tire. The drive roller needs to be a one way so when the motor is going it turns the roller which turns the tire but when the motor is off the roller is automatically disengages and turns and does not turn the motor over.

lol around here those have a really bad tendancy to go for more than they were new/the seller is an ass and wont lower his price from what he paid for it then again were not that far apart do you have an old dirtbike?schmanman wrote:If you really want to have something reliable and fun to ride, buy a used & running 70's-80's dirtbike.

yep, a 1976 Kawasaki ke 175 2-stroke, ported, preformance exhaust, new rings, new chain, paint job, modern dirtbike plastic fender adapted to fit the rear.
I also stripped out everything that does not need to be on there, to make it lighter.
I broke the chain last weekend.
Persistence is a measure of faith in yourself
