This is my latest and greatest
4" pipe with 2.5" barrel
ignore the white part- its just my filling rig
soon to come CO2 tank and handle/trigger assembly

Theres a post here to use a coupling instead of a end cap. Its for 2" but you can use the same idea here to mod it for 4" if you are still having problems.

Just courios but what is the (toilet flange?) compacter thing do for you?
