Any good high pressure, electrically operated valves?
I'm looking for a good high pressure (250 psi +), 1", metal, electrically operated valve for an air cannon. Are there any good options other than sprinkler valves which all seem to max out at 150 psi? Will the 1" and 3/4" valves used in air suspension systems work.. like these http://www.xtremevalves.com/products.html ? Thanks.
those valves that you have posted are nothing but metal sprinkler valves. you do know that pnuematicy accuated valves open litteraly 3x faster than electronicly accuated valves dont you?

Can't you use a pneumatically actuated valve then hook it up to a solenoid for remote operation?

Doesn't it make more sense to just use an electrically activated sprinkler valve as the trigger valve for the QEV?
It would take a pretty strong solenoid to actually move the lever of a blowgun.

True, but the problem at hand is that sprinkler valves aren't rated for the pressures he wants to use - so if they're not good enough for the main valve, they're not suitable for actuation either.jimmy101 wrote:Jackssmirk

and yeah, it would have to be quaite a hefty solenoid

ok this sounds a bit primative but cant you just rig up a pull string to open a spring loaded ball valve for acuation of a QEV like this ball valve http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=115&

no there are some for 200 psi like hotwireds, I think.

well my solutions solves the pneumatic acuatin problem but as for a 250 psi plus valve make piston. it would save you tons of cash and would be very high flow
