Nice gun! I really like it and it looks freaking cool!
What is its C:B ratio?
You were saying how many pumps it takes, so if you wanted less chamber, you could fill the pipe, or block it off with just a thin pipe to the pump valve.... Just an idea!
But really, thats one decent gun 8)

nice, the rail mount really sets it apart, would have done well in the competition with a bipod and some careful paint finish.

On the contrary, the volume of air in your chamber relative to the barrel makes a big difference, there is an upper limit of course where the increase stops but generally bigger volume quite logically equals more power and noise.

I like to use a very small chamber(more compact) for my marble guns but my homemade high pressure pump lets me offset the low chamber size with rapidly attainable high pressure.

wait, jack, you said a smaller chamber will help with the noise..........

right now this thing makes a VERY realistic BANG when it goes off.... not exactaly neighbor friendly. i looked into a silencer, but the thing is already 5 feet long, and i can see the tip of the barrel through the scope.

if it will help with the noise, i think ill make myself a smaller, more shoulder-freidnly stock....

also, i want this thing to have kick. has anyone ever tried making the blowgun pilot also smash back some kind of heavy weight? or would this kill my preformance.................. the thing has kick already but i want that BLAMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and a sharp hit to the shoulder thing.........

Increase your projectile weight.
You'll have trouble with the keeping the kick and lowering the noise unless you go to some sort of silencer.

arent silencers illegal? and also, i can already see the muzzle of the gun looking down the scope.................... kinda cool but id rather not stick more onto it.................

and i just tried a big nail i found..... wow thats power........... not great accuracy, but WOW power............ lol.

i found some random fittings in my basement and im going to make a proper bipd for it thisafternoon.

btw, i just did some accuracy testing, and i can hit an 8.5X11 peice of paper nearly every time from a good 100 feet, given that i brace myself for the recoil. if i dont, the marbles go alllllll overrrrr. hehe im getting to like this thing more than i expected to.

I have a chuckle to myself when i see that, lol.

i have built a spud gun right blah blah blah illegal, and also built a silencer which is also illegal. now i have no idea what would happen if i got caught by the boys in blue so i hope that never happens.

now if you are having issues with the neighbors maybe you should look into maybe a integral silencer. doing so will have its benifits but comes with a risk so its really your choice.

likewise, running some numbers through GGDT shows that a small high pressure chamber gives more power than a large low pressure chamber.

lol. go to home depot by the nails. they sell giant nails for who knows what that are WAY more than 9 inches long.......... hehe. they fit nice into 3/4 inch pipe (the biggest ones) without any modification. the smaler ones fit in copper, thats why i shot them.

btw, i did a shotgun spray of finish nails. i gotta say, it was cooler than i expected. found some sideways holes in the pop can.....

also, i found a way to make little "micro" fins for finish nails. ill make myself a fletchette shotgun round sometime.......... hehehe. i can imagine 20 darts hitting within a 3 inch grouping on a tree simoltaneously
