On topic: I have wanted to use a sida bottle for a while now, but i guess ill stick with pvc, like the knappengineering said its easier to connect.
You only get a darwin award when you die. He got an honorable mention probably.
I could have sworn it was a dude who tried washing his balls in a golf-ball washer and he fell over and it ripped them off. Ouch.

Technically yes, but 99.999999% of the time, it is given to someone who dies.

I concurr. Darwin awards are given out to those who die or lose the ability to reproduce. I.E., the guy who peed on an iron fence rail on the top of a mountain during a lightning storm. He survived, but his manhood didn't. He was given a darwin award.

Didn't mythbusters prove that wrong? Same concept as peeing on a subway rail.

Except a lightning bolt has thousands of times more volts than a subway rail. They get hotter than the surface of the sun. And they don't work the same way.

I wasn't referring to the fact that lighting has more volts than does a subway rail, I was remarking upon the point that the stream you pee out is so small in diameter, and not all connected back to you for electricity to flow constantly. Unless of course his urethra was half an inch in diameter, then I don't belive that electricity really went up into him and killed him.
Especially since electricity follows the path with the least resistance, and it could just go straight down the fence, and not up a narrow column of pee, and through ones skin. (which is highly resistant {unless its wet, even mildly})
But if electricity did go up and manage to reach him, his muscles would contract stopping the flow of pee, and shutting off the flow of electricity.

Lightning strike many objects that are close together all the time, that's why it looks like it has branches. There's so much energy it doesn't have to take the path of least resistance, it can take a lot of paths.

Yeah It is usually not your bottle but your fitting ghetto fied to the bottle that blows first.
Why do I try to make a relevant post?

You have a point, but when he does get shocked, his muscles would contract stopping the pee. He would probably still get struck, but it wouldn't necessarily be concentrated on his manhood and destroy them.

BACK ON TOPIC, I've taken coke bottles to 120 psi and shot at them with an airsoft gun and threw them at a brick wall. They fail at the lid and the hole where the schrader is. I have a lid that's split cleanly in half, but I think I lost it.

I tapped a schrader into the top of a soda bottle, filled it half with water, and filled it to ~60psi. I shot it with a 1,000fps pellet gun, the pellet ricochet'd off the bottle and nailed me in the tit.
That hurt.

I've had a 2 liter bottle rupture about 30cm away from my face.It was loud and the plastic his me but there was no cuts or anything.
@modderx-I filled a bottle half way with water and pressured it to 120psi and shot it with marbles, sinkers all kinds of things at about 400-500fps and they just bounced off.
I take 600ml bottles to 120psi regularly,I spent about 2 years of my spudding life using bottles before I new what pressure rated PVC pipe was and then I found this site and other places on the internet.Bottles in my eyes are great chambers and 120psi is no probs at all

put it up to at least 50psi.I mean you can either use a coke bottle and have shitty pressures or you can use a coke bottle and test how far it goes till it pops im guessing about 75 psi.It all depends on the bottle i guess.
Hey theres a thought
. You should do a test and pump it up as far as it goes before it pops to see how much pressure it holds and then post the results.
